Chipping Norton’s SWR has given a very warm welcome to the newly revealed 2019 season calendar for the TCR UK Championship which, for the first time, includes a blue riband overseas round with a visit to the one and only Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
Set to get underway over Easter weekend, 20th/21st April, at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk, the burgeoning touring car series will then travel to picturesque Oulton Park in Cheshire for a single day meeting on Saturday, 11th May.
The eagerly awaited maiden European rounds for TCR UK are scheduled to take place in June on a yet-to-be confirmed date and the championship then returns to British shores for a busy July – the fourth event of the season taking place on 6th/7th July at Croft in North Yorkshire, venue for SWR’s maiden TCR UK win this year, ahead of a trip to Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent on 27th/28th July.
Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, SWR’s ‘home’ venue, will be the destination for the penultimate 2019 race meeting on 7th/8th September and the championship reaches its conclusion, as it did this year, at Donington Park in Leicestershire over the weekend 19th/20th October.
Building on the promising maiden season of TCR UK this year, in which SWR secured one race victory and three further podium finishes with its potent Honda Civic Type-R, the calendar for season two will undoubtedly provide a terrific mix of challenges for drivers and teams.

“The TCR UK organisers have worked hard to provide the best possible calendar for the category’s second year and, from SWR’s perspective, we believe the schedule which has been announced is one which will prove extremely popular.”
